OK maybe I;m just bitchy today, but this book really didn't work for me. I've enjoyed working my way through the Spenser series so far but this one just doesn't fit. All the quick repartee is there and the other elements but this one seems to have lost it's moral compass. Susan in her ongoing search for herself has hooked up with a baddy who entraps Hawk , she screams for Spenser to rescue her. The obvious solution, kill everybody. Come on.
The inability of Parker characters to deal with relationships rationally is starting to wear thin especially in this instance.
The taste of a dilitant, physically invincible and the emotional maturity of a hormonal sixteen year old, summarises Spenser in this one.
I hope the next in the series gets back on track.
