liked it

I expected a bit more out of this book. While I learned a lot about war time on the US homefront, I also felt that the author tried to cover too many really important things. This left me feeling like some interesting and thought-provoking themes as well as storylines were only glanced upon. Overall, I enjoyed the story, especially as I was on Cape Cod while reading it, and it took place on the Cape during WWII, but overall, I felt like I never quite got to the heart of the story.
