it was ok

Really wanted to like this book. The characters, Bryant and May are very interesting. The premise - they are detectives in London's Peculiar Crimes Division - seems promising too. Until the last 50 pages, this just dragged on and on, with no real forward momentum. I scanned a lot of it in the middle section. The ending read like the ending of a episode of Scooby-doo - "here's what happened." It was so convoluted, that there was five pages of Bryant explaining why the crime was committed.
I think I'm done with Bryant and May.

Dixie Darn it. I wanted you to like it too, so I could add it to my list of good books to try. Too bad.
