really liked it
bookshelves: middle-grade, historical-fiction

The only book I could find to pass the time in the copy room at school yesterday, it was just as compelling as I remembered. It's hard to resist a good story of survival and unlikely friendship! Even if the premise is just as preposterous as those wise Indians who exist solely to teach white people important lessons.

Katie M. I was always such a sucker for The Witch of Blackbird Pond...

Rebecca Yeah, this one is totally supposed to be for boys and that one for girls. But somehow my only memory of blackbird pond is that the main character used to live somewhere tropical? Time for a reread...

Katie M. Wait, Katie reading and liking a book that was designed specifically for girls and probably reading but not remembering or liking as much a book that was designed specifically for boys? That's unpossible. By which I mean, that shocks no one.
