it was amazing

"You sit down to dinner and life as you know it ends." In the span of a year the author dealt with the sudden death of her husband, writer John Gregory Dunne, and the life-threatening illness of their young adult daughter. She coped for a period of time by denying his death, convinced he would reappear. Her story is achingly and beautifully told. Shortly after finishing the book, I picked it up and read it again.
