it was amazing

It takes a few pages to get used to the format in this book of poems written in the voices of Schneberg’s father, mother and herself. But then magic happens. We are allowed inside these three people with their Jewish culture, their aging bodies and their undaunted spirits. There is deep grief and great joy in these free verse poems. They seem simple but say so much, every line rich and full. I have had the pleasure of taking several of Schneberg’s workshops. Highly recommended. Schneberg has written four other poetry collections. She is also a visual artist and photographer. For more information, visit www.threewayconversation.org.
