it was amazing
bookshelves: a-good-read, novel

This is a very unusual book, one that caught my attention and kept me going throughout.

this book is one that many people will enjoy. It was written about the African American help (maids) in Jackson, Mississippi. You may not believe Jackson, but it could have been true in many southern cities during the firsst part of this century.

It is a warm book, one that is very human and enjoyable to read.

This is the first book by this author. Don't know if she can repeat the interest in others but will follow her to see how she does. This was an extremely difficult book for a first author to write, I believe.
