it was amazing
bookshelves: books-i-own

** spoiler alert ** I've seen the movie multiple times but had never gotten around to reading the actual graphic novels yet. I recently bought the extended cut and Marv's story - which was my favourite in the movie - came along with it.

It's amazing how close the film follows the book and all parts of what I loved about it in the movie were here. Marv is a thug, no bones about that, but he's a thug that you can get behind and even though you know how bad it is eventually going to turn out for Marv but you understand and respect his decision to keep going through it. To see right done even though the whole world is going to think he's the bad.

It's a knockout story. That's for damn sure.

Frank Miller
“I’ll stare the bastard in the face as he screams to God, and I’ll laugh harder when he whimpers like a baby. And when his eyes go dead, the hell I send him to will seem like heaven after what I’ve done to him.”
