Celia This is the first installment in the Women Moving Forward series, the collection that inspired the now yearly conference at St. Thomas University. It features critical work about as well as essays from immigrant women about their experiences arriving at this country. My contribution is a short story called "Isis," in which a little girl struggles to understand the mixed-up world her adults live in one fateful Halloween.
