it was ok

There are things to like in here, but on the whole, Lizzie Eustace is Becky Sharp's dumber little sister. Where Thackeray will write hilarious and smart things for Becky to say, Trollope will have tertiary characters say things like "Ah, but Lady Eustace is so frightfully clever!" Could have fooled me. After about 600 pages, I realized I was just running the words past my eyes, so to speak, instead of reading like I had any interest in what was happening, so I bailed.

The hunt scene is great, though. And I still want to read The Way We Live Now.
