Elizabeth Honey has written a wonderful collection of everday kinds of poems for students in grades 3-6. She is a popular author in Australia. Some poems are short, some are long, some wind around the page and some look like a student dropped in to the book with their pen and added images and text!

Robyn Schaefer Great find. I just checked this out on Amazon and am interested in reading it as a potential addition to my classroom library. I really like your description of how it looks like a student dropped in with their own pen to add to the typed text. Some of the excerpts on Amazon make it seem like the narrator is being pretty disrespectful to elders. Like saying to great-grandmother, "Why aren't you dead yet." Did you find that to be true as well?
