Ms. Chaffin has done it again. She gets inside of the heads of her characters and you know how they feel. She brought me right back to small town living (and reminded me why I left!) Jesse, the saint of Skitter Lake isn't what everyone remembers, or wants to, and Tim the boy from the wrong side of the tracks can't compete with that. Trying to clear his name, Tim runs up against old prejudice and memories so engrained as to be gospel. Only a few are willing to listen, much less believe, but how can he leave Dorothy again. Thank you, Char for an excellent read. You'll enjoy it.
