Bondama Becky, instead of reading this book by Chrichton, you might want to read "The Doomsday Book" by Connie Willis. Her book covers almost the exact same time period (both books involve time travel to the 13th-14th century) - but Willis' is a thousand times better (and about a million times more accurate, historically!) "Doomsday Book" won the Hugo the year it was published, and remains one of my big, all time favorites I've ever, ever come across. I did read "Timeline" and was struck completely by the difference in accuracy and quality. I got my original BA in Medieval History, so I do know which is more accurate, historically speaking, and Willis has it all over Chrichton in this particular area.

Becky Thanks for the advice... :) I will probably read The Doomsday book at some point, but I've been wanting to read this one for a while. I saw it at the thrift store and picked it up.
