Levithan FTW!

This is the tale of two distinct Will Graysons who, due to a series of unfortunate events, cross paths in a Chicago porn shop one evening. It is also the tale of another guy named Tiny who is best friends to one WG and (after the porn-shop incident) boyfriend to the other.

I felt like the idea for this book was something Mssrs. Green and Levithan came up with late at night while kind of drunk at a boring party. I probably would have given them another star if the CONCEPT didn't sometimes stand out more than the actual characters.

They did, however, pull off the CONCEPT pretty well. I think that the story line and the characters would be liked by typical readers of both Levithan and Green, although I think Levithan's Will Grayson is much more fully drawn and therefore intriguing. I realize that Green's WG is supposed to be kind of a boring guy, but Green sometimes fails to turn him into a kind of a boring guy that's interesting to read about. And Tiny? He's very interesting - even if he's really just the hub of the CONCEPT.
