Alex is back and two serial killers are on the loose and competing with each other-The Gentleman Caller on the west coast and Casanova on the east. Casanova is kidnapping beautiful young women and holding them all as prisoners and sex slaves and one is Alex's niece. He gets help in the case when one of the woman escapes and agrees to help catch him. But Casanova is furious at losing one of his girls and is determined to take her back.
Another great thriller, which was made into a better film than Along came a spider. Patterson's bad guys are so brilliant, the plot is fast and action packed and it has the perfect blend of everything a good thriller should have.
