really liked it

This story's great flaw is its length. It's a tease, leaving the reader wanting more. (I always want more whatever I read by Ms. Thomas.) I loved the letters in it--though not as funny as those in Eloisa James's marvelous Three Weeks with Madame X--they advance the plot nicely and, in the way of very good writing, show not tell the hearts of the protagonists.

Ms. Thomas has a full length novel coming out in the fall. I shall have to wait, eager for more.
