Woah, I picked this up for one second and could not put it down. Told in very short chapters, with a 15 year old narrator/ survivor of the "royal family" of an unknown Middle Eastern nation - I would have guessed Iraq or Libya - who has been forcible relocated to suburban Virginia after the assassination of her father. Equal parts transition-to-high-school and horrifying political consequences. Complex characters with deep motivations. Don't skip the 2 essays at the end.
