it was amazing
bookshelves: business, education

This book gets 5 stars from me because it is totally accurate about the best way to motivate people--treat them like responsible adults. Carrots and sticks are not as effective as autonomy, purpose, and working toward mastery. So much of what is being done to teachers, and what is assumed by the public and our politicians about how to fix schools, ignores this reality.

The Reading Countess Wow! I can't wait to read this one, now. It is sitting on my leaning tower of books to be read.
