Finally finished the nearly 1,200 page book in two months. It's a long read and requires a lot of focus...not for the leisurely reader; but if you're up to the challenge, the lessons and observations of the story are worth while.

This novel written in 1957 is an accurate foreshadowing of some of these 'spreading of the wealth' ideas we are grappling with today. An excellent reminder of just how successful capitalism has made us all...whether we own the business or work for the man; and how it just so happens that the more we are told to "share the wealth" the worse off everybody becomes.
