I suppose the best that can be said for this book is that isn’t doesn’t say anything clearly false. That’s because it doesn’t say much of anything at all. It might make a reasonable introduction to user-centered design for someone who knows absolutely nothing about the field, but it’s such a superficial gloss that I doubt it would even do that well.

It’s a graphically beautiful book, but the graphics don’t contribute to the meaning; they’re simple eye candy. The case studies interspersed throughout the book similarly provide fleeting snapshots of various products, but fail to extrapolate any deeper significance.
