This is a kind of chick lit meets ghost story. It was a little too slow for my taste, although the chick lit part (i.e. girls ruminating about high school and parental relationships in a spacey sort of way) didn't make me gag like it usually does. The great lesson that the protagonist learns, through the spooky images she captures on her camera, didn't make as much of an impact that I thought it should have. In the hands of Sarah Dessen or John Green or someone of that stature, Snap could have been an amazing book. So it's just OK to read.
