I remember coming to the decision sometime in my 20's to rid myself of toxic friends. this is touted as a story about fidelity, but I couldn't get past my anger at Sara. so selfish, so self-destructive and immature -- she drags these wonderful men down into the mess she makes for herself. and I don't for one minute feel sorry for her or people like her who create drama and misery for themselves through their choices and then act like they just have bad luck. I just hate her for causing so much pain for these wonderful men, although I suppose, in the end, I felt a little better (I won't spoil it). the book is beautifully, masterfully written and I enjoyed reading it but hated this one character so much it almost ruined it for me.
