** spoiler alert **

blurb - By turns dark, tender, violent, thoughtful, and uneasily hilarious, The Year of the Flood is Atwood at her most brilliant and inventive.

Am so very pleased that this has come to me via audiobook as I get all the music, and the reader, Bernadette Dunne, does a brilliant job. The story? The middle sagged a little but who am I to criticise that syndrome and overall this was an immensely enjoyable TBR-Busting contestant but doubt if I would want to read further editions in this world-view.

4* - The Handmaid's Tale
3* - Oryx and Crake
4* - The Blind Assassin
3* - The Year of the Flood
TR - Wilderness Tips
3* - Good bones

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads Hope you like this one as much as I did.

message 2: by Laura (new) - added it

Laura I am a big fan of Atwood but I haven't read this one.

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads I really liked this one.

Bettie☯ I have the audio going and all the happy-clappy songs are sung (think singer songwriter on a stool with his guitar). Brilliant.
