did not like it
bookshelves: horror, mystery-suspense, young-adult, piece-of-shit

The whole thing could have been avoided if Nick did the sensible thing of just trashing the phone, and saving up to buy a new one.

I'm sad because the premise of the book is B-movie-tastic and has a lot of potential, but Sleator just threw plot-curveballs in there that make little sense whatsoever. Like they are so loosely jointed it's a miracle they even string together.... I'm not as turned off by the writing style as some people are. I thought that although it wasn't the best, it was readable... the plot and characters are so one-dimensional and poorly thought out though. Ugh.
