Really 2.5 stars.
This was a pretty good book about an anthropologist who goes to France to do some research and to recover from her mother's death. There she meets a rancher who works with the famous white horses of Camargue and his daughter who has been suffering since her mother ran off five years ago. Includes lots of interesting anthropological/archeological information about the area and features detailed descriptions of the Camargue setting. However, the ending was absolutely terrible, it felt rushed and psychologically unbelievable.
