it was amazing
bookshelves: fiction, ya-lit, first-novels, push-imprint

She doesn't try to be clever, she's just very real. The authenticity seeps through every sentence.

One of the best books I've read that delves exclusively into exploring adolescent female interpersonal relationships and isn't highly exaggerated and "scandalous", just normal girls like the kind we all went to school with.

It really sets up the different dynamics of this group of gals at different stages and levels of friendship, where they are making their own decisions, and these other friends want to think they know better for them than they know for themselves, parents think they know whats best for their kids, others always thinking its easier to solve problems than it is, the answers to other people's problems when they can't even handle their own very well. Parents and friends wanting to give advice but being cold to it in return.

Good, solid YA lit. What YA lit should strive to be.

Strongly agree with the true that this book brings out, isn't nothing like the major contemporary novels, really think this book shows the voice of teenagers on a very good way.
