Can I say "I loved this book"? I loved the story line. The characters of the book Regan, Jake, Gram, Maggie and Piper were excellent. Each character brought something into the story. Regan - feisty, smart mouth, but kind and fair, Jake - hot love interest, protector, great leadership qualities, Gram - regal, authoritative, but loves her family and people without limits, Maggie - protector, sister, humorous, but can be a tad serious, and loves her family and people, and Piper - protector, comical, eases people in difficult situations and loves family and her people without limits.
This story is about a girl named Regan who is in college, and has a boyfriend, that makes other girls' envious of her. She has a sad childhood due to her parents being kidnapped. She was raised by her grandmother. She has a dog named Jackpot who she adores. She becomes unhappy with her life. She wants independence. She is starting to feel smothered by Sam, her boyfriend. Sam wants to take the relationship to the next step, while she wants out of it. Between her and Jackpot, they have found out that Sam is not portraying the "real" side of him. When she ends the relationship, she then discovers things about Sam, Jackpot, and her family. Without spoiling the story, let's just say that she discovers she is a descendant of a goddess, and she has choices to make that will not be easy. With help/guidance from family and friends, she begins to find her independence, and notes that she can find ways to being kind and fair in unusual circumstances.
The end will leave you hanging on to find out what happens next. Great read!! I have recommended this book to several family and friends already. Keep up the great writing and I'll continue to keep reading the story. Cheers!!!!
