Listen. We all know that Dan Brown is ... not a good writer. Half the fun of reading his novels is to revel in the sometimes hilariously bad prose. (His use of italics for dramatic effect is particularly amusing.) But damn it, the man knows how to craft a page-turner. Sometimes you simply want to fly through a book filled with secret rooms and hidden treasures and appalling villains, and Dan Brown is kind of my go-to guy when the mood strikes. Enjoyed this one less than Angels & Demons and DaVinci Code, but I'll definitely read the next installment if it comes out.

Ron I bought it for Shelley for Xmas...not sure if she's read it yet, and I've got 3 books in the queue...Angels & Demons wore on me, though I did like DaVinci Code
