really liked it
bookshelves: series, post-apocalyptic, young-adult, dystopic

Wow. I had to pace myself, didn't want to devour it all in one sitting, although it was tempting.

Powerful, horrifying, incredibly overwhelming and moving. Definitely not for the faint of heart. The violence from books 1 & 2 definitely escalates and goes far beyond whatever I'd imagined possible for Katniss and her crew.

More sadness and devastation than a happy ending, although there is some level of peace achieved.

Lauren I'm jealous you got to read it already - I can't wait! Although I'm a little nervous about the violence, I thought Hunger Games was difficult, at times. I'm not doing the audio this time, so I think the destruction will have less impact.
