First I want to thank Goodreas and Doreen Gehrke for opportunity to read this book, because I received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads:)

Since german language is not my mother language there were some words and expressions I did not understand, but not too many:) I enjoyed the language, the funny dialogue and once more I thanked my german teacher and TV-talk shows where i learned lot of slang.

The story has many different lines. One is the Ben story. How the boy from little town is going to catch his dream and become through talent show something in music business. His doubts and feelings, thoughts and tears. Finding friends and enemys.

Other line is his mothers. How the woman with 3 children is trying to deal with life, job and herselfe and give the best home to kids without mans help on her side.
There are also other characters whos life we can follow, story told through Ben, the 17 year old simple boy with talen.

I liked the story, although there some things that disturbed me.
First was the place where the story goes on. U.S.A. It was written in german language in oiginal, so I expected it to be also Germany where it started :) But this is just my wierd thinking :)
Second, for my taste was Ben too easily ready to "talk with his hands" and upset too quick, but good he developed himself a little in the end of the story :)

Mostly I think You should like the main charakter, but for me was the one i liked the most Charly, his new friend and the competitor in the show.

So for me was all the story not believable enought and in some places also little too long. Beginning went little too slow but second half was better :)

But this is only my opinion, and the story altogether is nice and a good read fot those who are thinking of taking part of Live-Show. Gives a little picture how Media works...
And it teaches, I hope at least, to young ones, that words should be chosen very carefuly.
I also think, You should fight for Your dreams, cause the worst thing that could happen is that when you are old You are regretting all the thins you did not do. :)
