it was amazing
bookshelves: books-for-drummey, favorites

What is there that I can say about this book that hasn't been said? I was literally blown away, racing my time left on the train with the pages I had left in the book in order to finish it in time. McEwan ties together a plot that spans over 60 years and three narrators flawlessly.

I'm usually not that big of a fan of sweeping epics, but when they're done this well, can you really complain? His writing is perfect, his style enviable in every way, and his characters well developed and layered. I'm practically counting down the days until the film adaptation with James McAvoy and Keira Knightley is released.
