Well...yes. KC is awesome.

This story didn't quite blow me away as much as it could have, but I did end up liking it WAY more than I expected.

Thronos is (view spoiler) hero. He actually was the reason I considered bumping this rating to 5 stars. He was pretty damn awesome.

Overall, I just...really enjoyed this book, but wasn't completely in awe of it. Yes, KC is great. Yes, IAD is awesome. Yes, this book was entertaining, fun, emotional, and romantic. Yes, I will be reading the next one, even though I don't even know which one it is.

No, I don't think this is the best of the series.

But yes, it deserves a 4+ star rating.

Original review (March 22, 2014):

Nervous about this whole bad boy hero thing (see, e.g., my review of KC's Lothaire), but excited for more IAD.

I'm nervcited. o_O

message 1: by Tiya (new) - added it

Tiya Rosa Love that it's Lanthe's turn now. She's been one of the most interesting female characters in this series (and that's saying something).
