a close friend: "this is the worst book you will ever read, which is why it is so great. it will make you feel better on a bad day because it is so awful it's good."

my response: "uhm... will reading this make me a book whore?"

answer: "probably. but it's worth it."

i'm giving it a chance. light, fast/easy, fun read so far. utterly pointless and meaningless. a complete waste of time. which perhaps is what is enjoyable about it.

after reading it: best satire of pulp fantasy novels ever. which means all in all, it was really awful but oddly good. maybe kind of like the right person's BO?
