The Time Machine is considered one of the most classic science fiction novels of all time, but I thought it was just okay. It would probably have been amazing when it was originally published, but today there are just so many other impressive works that it kind of pales in comparison.

The concepts of the novel were still fairly interesting, but I found the storytelling to be lacking. The plot was just really very vanilla despite the amazing potential at hand with the concept of time travel.

It wasn't awful, but it wasn't amazing either and I'm glad I read it, if for no other reason than to say that I have read one of the all time classics.
