Didnt love it, didnt hate it, glad I read it. Became tiresome instead of the laugh out loud I was expecting. Reminded me of Ronnie Corbett in The Two Ronnies his rambling jokes digressed wildly until they finally arrived at the original punchline that had long been forgotton. Published in 1889 when boating up the Thames was a popular pastime and loosly based on the authors own experiences. Seems three books in one The Trip, The Anecdotes and Travel Guide.
