Well I admit it -- this is a strange, absorbing handful of stories, and the whole Jonah-saves-the-day heroic theme is often undercut by unreliable allies ("Never Turn a Blind Eye" and "Bloodstained Snow") and even what appears to be a recurring love-drugged dream state ("Spirit Walker"). Topping it all off is the epic tale "Gator Bait", which begins with Jonah getting hanged, continues on with allusions to Tod Browning's film 'Freaks', and finally descends into "squeal like a pig" Deliverance territory. With corpse-eating alligators. Very nasty and very fun.
