This dystopian tale was too long and slow. Didn't care for the continuous back and forth timeline. The characters could have used a lot more depth. Jimmy's pining over Oryx was a bit much. I could have lived without so much detail on child slavery. That being said, the novel was entertaining enough to continue the trilogy, but I'm in no rush.
