it was amazing

SImply awesome. The journey continues and splits into two sections. The first half follows the Fellowship through Rohan and Isenguard while the second half journeys with Frodo and the Ring. I forgot how much Gollum adds to Frodo's quest. Very interesting was the portrayal of Faramir as opposed to the movie. The description and entire section concerning Shelob was marvelous and terrifying. But above all else, the ENTS stole the show. What an awesome creation. Not so hasty, Not so hasty. I actually laughed out loud at one of the Ent lines. An excellent follow up to the amazing first book. This series defines epic.
