You'd think that reading about drunken antics of actors who became entitled through fame would be boring, but you'd only be right in regards to M. Reed. The others were actors that were drunks, whereas Reed is a drunk who acted. And the only Englishman of the three... Reed almost needed to be tacked on because he wrote the book on drinking badly. I feel sorry for Burton but then again was meant to. Some of the tangents on other drunk actors, such as Nigell Green, Lawrence Harvey and Trevor Howard made me wish for more; There should be an american version focusing on Lee Marvin, Robert Mitchum and Rachel Roberts.
