it was amazing

I had the good fortune to be the editor for this book, so I got to read it before anyone else. I must say this is the best book Karen-Anne has written so far, and I am not just saying that because she provided a clean manuscript! Ash to Steele features vibrant, realistic characters that I could envision immediately, which I like because the story takes on more meaning if you can relate to the characters. Karen-Anne's descriptions of locations are great, too, and with the same effect.

The story is set in the present and features timeless elements such as the taming of the playboy by the "good girl" that seems to never go out of style. You can follow the story of Emma, a young woman seeking to find herself after college. She finds a new home, new friends, a drastically new lifestyle, and, of course, a new love interest. Family, friends, a persistent ex-boyfriend, and a off-colour new boyfriend enliven this tale of a small town girl learning to make her way in the big city. She is determined to make it, but she isn't going to make it unchanged. The big question is: will she change for the better or worse?
