really liked it
bookshelves: read-in-2012

It was a cute book that reminds me a lot of something that Sarah Dessen would write, perhaps The Truth About Forever or Just Listen. Overall I found it to be an interesting story of a teen girl's personal growth through life changes.

The only thing that got me was the occasional sentence that was oddly constructed or poorly worded. In those slips, the writing got too artsy. I would expect Terra to be somewhat artsy in her narration, so I was willing to cut the author some slack in a few of those times. But there were some that were just too out for even someone like Terra to say.
