While the artwork could be better, the story is cute, clever, and a good graphic novel for kids who have been reading things like the Sideways School stories or the Teacher from the Black Lagoon stories. It's easy for kids to imagine the "real lives" of the teachers and other school employees, but this story creates those lives for the school lunch lady and her assistant, who turn out to be high-tech fighters of rather surreal crimes. Their tools include fish-stick nunchuks and exploding chicken nuggets.
The story is a quick page-turner for around grades 3-4.
