I don't do much non-fiction, and I don't do much biography. But I really enjoyed this book. It's not dry like some non-fiction; in fact, it feels somewhat like a novel. I had not heard of Claudette Colvin before this book was released, and Hoose did a fantastic job telling her story. Middle school and high school courses studying the Civil Rights Movement should make this book part of the curriculum.
