This book has a little bit of everything--romance, chick lit, mystery, and Hollywood. The location on St. Bart's sounds gorgeous, but the main story is about Sunny O'Hara who decides to build some high-end rental villas there on the land that her mother left her, and using the international treasures that she collected while living abroad with her father. She meets and falls in love with Sven Larsen, a movie star who is filming on St. Bart's. Sunny is a woman who can do anything--she's only in her early 20's but she's a gourmet cook, she can speak multiple languages, and she is beautiful and high-energy. Sven, of course, is movie star gorgeous, but he has some low values. Despite all this, the characters are very likable and you really want things to go smoothly for them. Without being totally predictable, this book introduces some pain, some passion, and quite a lot of action. The relationships are enjoyable to share. All in all, a very nice introduction to this author.
