really liked it

While the premise of the story is stereotypical of chick lit novels, Isabella found a way to keep it entertaining throughout, making it a page turner from beginning to end. I would have preferred the story to be in first person, as I think it would have been easier to stay connected to the emotions Carrie was feeling even more. However, I reached a point where I forgot that it was in third person because I felt invested in the story. There was a general tone of being happy-go-lucky, as Carrie was rich, attractive, successful, had multiple guys wanting to be with her, had good relations with everyone she encountered, etc. It’s easy to envy her if you don’t have at least one of these qualities or experiences. There were a couple of bumps in the road, making me wonder what would happen, but they were smoothed over eventually. Overall, it is a cute, light, and sexy beach read and it reflects Isabella’s love for chick lit. I look forward to reading her next novel.

My dream movie cast for this book:
Carrie: Kelen Coleman (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2584298/?r...)
Brad: Dylan Bruce (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1851313/?r...)
Sara: Piper Perabo (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005305/)
Sean: Chris Pratt (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0695435/?r...)
Roger: Brant Daugherty (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2301213/?r...)
