So this will be the longest book I've ever read in my life, and it's about basketball, which is kind of sad. Plus it's written by someone whose sports teams I despise, yet it's still surprisingly readable. So I guess he's a pretty good writer.

As someone who has has only been a casual reader of the Sports Guy over the years, I don't get some of the "inside jokes" but I can tell you that this dude really does know a lot about basketball. I'd say it's 50% stats about players, teams, records, etc. and 50% theory, what-if scenarios, etc., so it's not a boring encyclopedia of statistics and whatnot.

I will eventually finish this, but due to the length of it (almost 800 pages), I think it's going to become my new bathroom book and not something I read in a few days.
