This book was a FANTASTIC read!!! Very creepy and atmospheric. And so much better than the movie (this is of particular importance, since I also loved the movie...) For those of you who have indeed seen the movie, the book makes everything clear. It sheds light on all of the loose ends and ties them up into a pretty (and terrifying) bow. The same general sense of dread is present from the first page to the last. The "investigation" that makes for most of the story was very satisfying. On par with great crime fiction.

I don't want to give anything away for those of unfamiliar with the story. But, if you like horror in general, or even gritty crime fiction with a supernatural and often disturbing lilt, then "Ring" is for you.

I should also mention (as this took me by surprise), the main character in the story is a man. Not a blonde reporter, the likes of Naomi Watts.
