Enjoyed this true story of Julie Powell tackling Julia Child’s “Mastering the Art of French Cooking”
and making the cookbook’s 524 recipes in a year’s time. While she was often funny, insightful and warm, the author was sometimes tiresome and whiny. The person I enjoyed the most and want to get to know a lot more is Julia Child. Powell did a lovely job of imagining short scenes from Julia's life as she discovered cooking and started growing into the legend she would become.
