I love Anne Tyler's books, because reading them is like slipping into a warm bath or snuggling up into a soft blanket. Her prose is effortless, her conversation always realistic and gently humorous, and her characters reliably quirky, but never too much so. That being said, this wasn't one of my favorite titles of hers, but it was still a pleasure to read and a lovely antidote to my sex, drugs and rock and roll YA reading:) If you're a fan, you'll want to add this one to your TBR list, and if you've never dipped into Tyler's works before, I highly recommend recommend Ladder of Years and Digging to America.
