it was amazing
Read in January, 2008

The legal system encountered in this book was, of course, incredible as a young girl sought to free herself from slavery in antebellum New Orleans. Everybody who keeps up those incessant cries that the laws formulated with the US Constitution as a framework should not be tampered with ought to read this book.
